Stormwater Intrusion in Falcon Heights

The open window in this Falcon Heights home allowed a high volume of driven rain to soak the walls, ceiling, and now removed carpeting. The After Photo shows a large LGR low grain refrigerant dehumidifier completing the removal of moist air. Some wallboards were removed to allow for the SERVPRO team to dry the framing and the batten insulation. The concrete pad takes about a week to dry; rushing this can damage the pad. Before we do the final walkthrough with our customer and neighbor, we spray an antimicrobial agent to ensure the treated room is sanitary with little concern for a mold infestation.
